Designed and engineered for significant weight savings and outstanding payload capacity for increased profit potential with every load. The rugged main rails of the Dorsey DGTS model have been engineered to carry maximum loads of 100,000 lbs. uniformly distributed over the entire length of the trailer. Main rails have 1" to 1-3/4" of positive camber built in to eliminate or reduce sagging under heavy loads.
Features:
Fabricated hi-tensile steel I-beams with 100-KSI flanges.
4" 80-KSI steel I-beam cross-members on 16" centers.
1-1/16" Apitong floor. 1-5/16" Apitong and aluminum floors are available upon request.
6" structural steel channel side rails with stake pockets on 24" centers.
1/4" x 2-1/2" steel skid rail.
The two-speed, heavy-duty landing gear legs are independently braced to avoid stress on both legs if one is damaged. 3" channel crossbracing from leg to leg is optional.
10-guage formed steel diagonal braces on 48" centers.
A high-quality RPC is applied to the understructure and running gear between the main rails. Areas not accessible for painting after assembly are primed during the assembly process. Remaining steel is phosphate washed, primed, and painted.
Optional load-securing devices include D-rings, chain tie-downs, and winches - either recessed or moveable on steel winch track.
Premium-sealed, no splice, 12-volt lighting system reduces electrical problems.
Dorsey offers a variety of bulkheads both in steel and aluminum. Bulkheads can be either straight or with side returns, and either permanent or removeable.
